There's just 5 or 6 days when the sun rises over the sea in the winter. Not once was it visible on the horizon this year. Just a little chick in the cloud allowed half a view (more like 10%).

The Queen Victoria cruise ship has spent some of the last few months sheltering around by the Cary Arms (handy for deliveries) and then just before this weekend's storm headed west to shelter off Hope Cove. I missed it going west, but here it is coming back. Big eh ?
And marginally more pretty than a container ship. Marginally

Made to fit the gap. 294 metres long and so just about matching the gap out of the end of the river Dart at Dartmouth.

The ship is 5.5 nautical miles from the lens, that's 6.3 ordinary boring miles.

There should be over 2000 guests and more than a thousand crew aboard. But there isn't.
